Okay, so the news is a bit late, the month being more than half over, but better late than never, I say. John Kovalic has proposed "Nononono," the movement for people who AREN'T writing a "Nanowrimo" novel this month...
I for one am proud this year to stand up and not participate deliberately, rather than (as last year and every year before that) not participating due to not knowing it existed. Just say Nononono to Nanowrimo!

What is Nanowrimo?
ReplyDeleteNational Novel Writing Month. http://www.nanowrimo.org - they pump out 50,000 words in a month, whether it's good or not, just to say they did. Quality goes out the window - DELIBERATELY! - just to deliver quantity.
ReplyDeleteI tried it once, just to see if I could stomache it, and decided that one of the worst things you can do to creativity is lower your standards that far. So I say "Nononono" to NaNoWriMo!
